rosemary.
Today I slept in (until a glorious 9am), and took a walk around the neighborhood to visit a humongous rosemary bush that grows between the road and the sidewalk a few blocks away. Enter summer storm, enter drenched rosemary thief, enter sheepish jog back to the house with not as much rosemary as I had hoped. But it was enough.

simple summer salads.
I made a few salads recently because it was so hot I couldn’t bear to cook anything at all. I still had some of the pictures and some of the leftover salads, so I thought I might share what I made with them.

During the course of the week my refrigerator becomes a mess of leftovers, bags half-full of vegetables, and plastic containers holding the remains of a can of beans or olives (or what have you).
